Director: Steve Slovenski has run summer camps in Maine and Tennessee for over 10 years. He holds a Bachelors in Science and Engineering from Princeton University and a Masters in Education from Vanderbilt University. Steve was a math and engineering teacher for 8 years at high schools in PA, CT, and TN. He has a passion for teaching real life skills especially involving designing and building.

Courtney Slovenski studied elementary education and received a bachelors from Pepperdine University and a Masters in elementary education from Lipscomb University. She is a certified teacher in the state of TN. She taught in private schools, charter schools and the metro public schools for over 5 years. After homeschooling her four children the last 3 years, she is excited to help foster a community of students who love Jesus and who love to LEARN!

Savannah LaBrant’s passion and love for kids is rare to find. She genuinely has the most sincere devotion and joy toward not only leading her 5 kids in a way that’s Biblically sound, but also dozens of kids who are constantly coming in and out of her home on a weekly basis. She studied nursing until she got pregnant with her oldest daughter while in college, where she quickly switched her major to elementary education for several years. She was an assistant teacher for 3rd and 4th grade for 2 years at a private school in California. She has been homeschooling her kids for the past 4 years & it has become her most passionate pursuit. Helping lead other moms toward this beautiful way of life. One with more freedom. One with more time spent with our kids. One that helps our kids thrive both scholastically and Biblically. Savannah has seen the fruit produced through homeschooling first hand and can’t wait to walk in this beautiful next season God is calling her and her family into.

Katherine Tashie: Graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Fine Arts where she met her husband, Tyler Tashie. They both served as student leaders at the ministry BamaCru. After graduating Kat worked with students at the Oak Hill elementary school in the aftercare program for two years before she became a nanny for three years. She now is a super cool stay at home mom and homeschools her children. Her husband is amazing!!
