Camp WayGo is all about Christ-centered learning & fun. Campers will enjoy time in God’s creation, stewarding farm animals, playing outside, singing and dancing. They will learn more Scripture than you thought possible in a week. And Yes, they will sleep well every night.

Meet the Directors

Steve and Courtney Slovenski live in Nashville with their four amazing kids Sawyer, Daisy, Dodger, and Oscar. They have a passion for reaching the next generation for Christ.

Steve Slovenski has run summer camps in Maine and Tennessee for over 10 years. He holds a Bachelors in Science and Engineering from Princeton University and a Masters in Education from Vanderbilt University. Steve was a math and engineering teacher for 8 years at high schools in PA, CT, and TN. He has a passion for teaching real life skills especially involving designing and building.

Courtney Slovenski studied elementary education and received a bachelors from Pepperdine University and a Masters in elementary education from Lipscomb University. She is a certified teacher in the state of TN. She taught in private schools, charter schools and the metro public schools for over 5 years. After homeschooling her four children the last 3 years, she is excited to help foster a community of students who love Jesus and who love to LEARN!

We believe that it is the work of every believer to build His Kingdom on earth, and we are honored and delighted that we get to advance that mission with the cutest and funniest of God’s creation - children.

FAQs

  • Drop off is from 9-915 each morning, and pickup is between 2 and 215. Send your camper with a lunch and a snack.

  • Counselors are hand picked from Waygo Youth, a sister organization high school ministry. Counselors are chosen for their high moral character and love for children. All counselors are background checked and vetted by references.

  • Send your camper with a snack, a lunch, and a bathing suit each day

  • Tuition is fully refundable until May 1. After May 1st in the case of family emergencies or health issues you can receive a full credit to a later week or a week in 2027.
